Did you know that the Pt England Way started a long, long time ago? It actually started back in 2001, 13 years ago here in Pt England! It was originally called belongings to Pt England?
According to Mr Burt, Point England's principal, The Point England Way ". “...means that it is our kawa of care, the way we do things so that we can be happy with another, safe, enjoy eachothers’ company, learn well and have a good time at school.” The Pt England way helps us to be humble and sensible when we act and play. It has helped us to behave a lot better and strive to succeed.
The 3 P's, participation, protection and partnership which are the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. It’s the Pt England way, it helps us to communicate with others at any where we go. The 3 P’s has helped us to be good role models and represent our school well.
Back in those days, there was a lady named Otalani Meleasia. She was a great teacher, she would help Mr Burt with bringing up ideas for belongings to Pt England. And there were other great teachers too!
