My Son is Naughty
Jack and Ray were at the rugby. Ray’s team was winning
so Jack decided to give Ray a problem to deflate his ego a
bit. So Jack said “Did you know that today is my three
sons’ birthday?” “How old are they?” Ray asked taking
the bite. “I’ll give you a hint. The product of their ages is
36 and the sum of their ages is 13,” Jack replied. “That’s
no help,” said Ray. So Jack weakened and gave him
another clue. “O.K. My youngest son is very naughty.”
“Nothing to it,” exclaimed Ray and he told Jack the
correct ages of his sons.
How did Ray figure out the correct answer.

MATHSS
We have been solving a problem and trying to answer the question. We’ll the question “was how many mermaids were there?” There is 38 arms, 24 eyes and 8 tails. We know that there is 12 creatures all together. Our answer was three. There were three mermaids.
We worked like this.... We did 4 x 8 = 32 38-32 = 6.
EYES- First we solved the eyes because all creatures have eyes. 24 - 2 =12
|
TAILS- If 8 creatures have tails then 4 creatures don’t have tails.
Now we know there are 4 octopuses
ARMS- 8 x 4 = 32 38 arms all together. now we have 6 arms 6 - 2 = 3 so 3 mermaids and 4 oct... 12 creatures 3 mermaids 5 fish so how many creature are there ? 12

Kimberly pizza problem from Team 5 PES on Vimeo.
The Pizza Place in my town has three
tables of the same size. The Chicken
N Chips restaurant has four of the
same sort of table.
The Chicken N Chips can just seat 24
people. How many people can The
Pizza Place seat?
Now a third of the seats at The Chicken N Chips were
empty and a half of the places at The Pizza Place were
empty. If 18 more people wanted to eat out, how many
would have to be turned away from the two restaurants?Monday, 26 August 2013
Cross Country Recount
Standing at the starting line with butterflies in my stomach. I was really, really nervous. “Breath in, Breath out” I act. So loud the syrian went off. Nearly all the year 7 girls went sprinting off like a bullet shooting out of a gun.
First lap... It feels so long. But I kept running and running, Well I was running with gloria, but I think I was not fit enough, so she decided to leave me behind. Oh My gosh just passed the goal post, one more lap!
As I stop for a rest and walk, I look behind me and some girls in my race were there doing the same thing. I should make that my goal to beat them. So I ran and ran then stopped again and looked behind me and there they were right behind me! “Ok Bring it on” I shout to them with a tone. “Let’s go” They replied. I sprinted so fast I was right by the finish line. I worried about them so much It actually helped me pass Ane!
Jogged through the finish line. Felt like I came first with the big grin on my face, but no I was just happy because I finished the race. I came 8th and i’m proud. heading towards the tap, there was already a cup of water sitting there for me.
I had fun racing in cross country. Nervous at the start, but proud and lazy at the end. Oh and sorry for not mentioning, But I also had fun sliding in the mud!

"Guard the Place"
Watching Mosa and his groups movie “Guard the place” was entertaining. I liked how they have a problem and how they used subtitles as the song kept playing. I like how the song went with the movie. It was good at the end how they explained why they were singing the love song, the villains weakness was love.
I think they could've chucked in a song for the beginning. They could've made the shot of Nathaniel climbing a bit shorter. They also could've added more detail.

Narrative
NARRATIVE
Walking peacefully towards the Lincoln Memorial, we feel united in our fight for equality. “Hey Mum, Hold up !” I shout as I trip. As I march with the enormous crowd, we all sing a song, “We Will Overcome”.
Now we reach the memorial pond. From the sky the crowd looks like millions of ants waiting for our hero, Martin Luther King, to share his speech I have a dream. Talking about how Negroes would like to have freedom and equality he is very passionate. Everyone claps and cheers as he ends his wonderful speech.
